A wordle showing the occupations of the people Addison Scurlock kept in his "notable files"
Description
At some point in Addison Scurlock's career he started to keep what he called the "notable files" and this consisted of the names of notable and/or frequently requested images. Within these images you will find people that you heard about in history classes and also people you should have heard about. Of course there are the big names like Frederick Douglass, Martin Luther King Jr, and also President JFK but there are other people who aren’t so well known but what they did was just as important as these other big names. Within the notable files is the first African American to be allowed into West Point, the first African American to be allowed to be a federal judge, and it is also hard to find a "notable" name that doesn't have a Ph.D attached to it. All of these men and women were remarkable in what they were able to do for their community and society and Scurlock recognized that and made sure to give them credit where credit was due.
