Black Photographers Exhibit

Description

April 1, 1983 was the opening of the exhibit titled A Century of Black Photographers at the Museum of Art, Rhode Island School of Design, and one of the noted photographers was Addison Scurlock. The exhibit consisted of over 200 pieces of art created by black American photographers. This traveling show was meant to showcase the achievements of these black photographers and the "function of their art, and their place in it."
